This is a non-invasive, non-surgical form of skin rejuvenation. Results are seen almost immediately with minimal downtime required. Undergoing a laser facelift is preferable to dermal fillers for many women as it prevents the need for additional or repeat treatment at an earlier stage to maintain the improvements.

The 4D Facelift
Using the nD:Yag and the eR:Yag, Fotona are able to offer a four dimension facelift to reach and treat deeper-sited tissue. This revolutionary treatment requires minimal downtime and enables full-thickness contraction of collagen resulting in improved volume to the area and a greater reduction in the appearance of wrinkles
During treatment, the laser ONLY targets deeper structures and this ensures that no damage occurs to the surrounding skin or tissue.

The 4D Laser specifically targets:
Areas of reduced volume ie jowls, Skin laxity, Wrinkles, Uneven tone and texture.
Improvements will be:
Lifting of the area treated, Plumping and a fuller appearance, Fewer wrinkles, Improvement in tone and texture such as reducing pore size.
No downtime is required and any mild redness or swelling will disappear within a couple of days. Whilst minimal, many clients choose to undergo this treatment at a time when they can relax at home afterward.

Treatment Protocol
The length of each treatment will be dependent on the size of the affected area, the location on the body and the desired degree of improvement. This could be anything from half an hour to over two hours.
We advise an interval of at least ten days between appointments. Typically, you will require several treatments, normally between three to eight, to get the best results.
Frequently asked questions
Does the treatment hurt?
Treatment alone does not hurt but you may feel warmth or a pinching sensation.
Will your skin peel afterwards?
Yes, some light peeling may be experienced for up to a week.
How soon afterwards can you wear makeup?
Make up may be worn after an initial 24 hours period of recovery
Is it safe to undergo this treatment if you have dermal fillers?
Yes it is safe but we recommend a 2 week gap between procedures.
How is 3D/4D facelift treatment delivered?
As with many of the Fotona laser treatments, this utilises the intraoral mode in conjunction with the respective additional modes that you may have opted for. This involves directing the laser inside the oral cavity and delivering a very gentle amount of heat to the inside of the cheek area. As well as a lower level of heat the laser is programmed to deliver at a slower rate. As a result, the inside of the cheeks will gradually tighten and firm the lower part of the face by increasing collagen deep below the surface. As Smiles combines both dentistry and aesthetics we are well-placed to offer this to our clients. It is not uncomfortable and there is only a minimal recovery time required.
