COVID 19

GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE RETURN OF DENTAL SERVICES IN ENGLAND.

We, like you, learned of the government’s plans for dental practices to re-open from Monday 8th June during the briefing. of the Prime Minister on the 28th of May

At the moment, and so that you are fully aware, only dental practices who can evaluate that they have the PPE (personal protective equipment) and IPC (infection prevention and control) requirements in place are allowed to welcome back patients. Fortunately, we at Smiles on Broadway have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for our re-opening, to ensure that it is safe for both patients and staff to return.

In light of the Prime Minister’s briefing, we will be in touch with our valued patients in the coming weeks about any further updates that will occur.

Whilst we prepare for our re-opening, however, we respectfully ask that you do not call the practice to book any routine appointments. Initial appointments will be prioritised for emergencies only

From all of us at Smiles on Broadway, we thank you for your patience through these trying times

Continue to remain safe and we will see you soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re an open and transparent dental clinic on hand to answer any questions you have before and after your procedures or checkups. If your question hasn’t been answered below, please talk to an expert by filling out the form on our site.

How do I book an appointment?

Please ring (01702 588 818) email (reception@smilesonbroadway.co.uk), or call in at the practice, and we will book an appointment convenient for you. We will send you a reminder by text or e mail before your appointment. If you need to cancel or change an appointment please give us as much notice as possible.

Do you charge if I miss or cancel an appointment?

Please be aware that if any appointments are cancelled without 24 hours notice or failed, a fee will be charged for that missed or cancelled appointment.

Why do I need to come to the dentist if I am not in any pain?

Unfortunately, not having any pain, doesn’t mean you don’t have any dental problems. Tooth decay and gum disease need to be well advanced before they cause pain. By the time they cause pain treatment becomes more difficult, more expensive, and time-consuming and the outcomes are less predictable.
At Smiles, we will check your teeth and gums very carefully and advise you of any potential problems. We also check for mouth cancer. If your teeth and gums are completely healthy, we will give you advice on how to keep them that way.

Is it important to replace missing teeth?
A confident smile and a healthy mouth are important assets but it is important to replace missing teeth for health reasons as well. Once teeth have gone it results in bone loss. This not only shortens your face and ages it, but can cause other teeth to become loose which are then at risk of falling out. Your features droop and generally appear distorted.

Missing teeth also provide fertile breeding ground for tooth decay. If you have one missing tooth the surrounding teeth become increasingly susceptible to decay, as they tilt and move reducing the ability to clean them effectively thus leading to them being lost as well.
Do you have a Dental Care Plan?
Yes we do! We at Smiles on Broadway believe that the best way of making treatment affordable, without compromising on our high quality of care, is to offer you membership of our own Smiles Care Plan. The plan is designed to encourage regular attendance so to maintain a healthy and beautiful smile with the bonus of reduced fees for most treatments. Why don’t you give us a call and we can discuss our range of Care Plans with you!
